Who We Are
To serve unhoused neighbors and care for the planet, the Plarn Patrol transform plastic shopping bags into plarn (plastic yarn) and then crochet sleeping mats.
What We Do
By cutting used plastic shopping bags into strips and tying them together, individuals crochet a single 6’x3’ mat requires hundreds of plastic bags and hours of work. The Plarn Patrol has produced many mats for distribution to the homeless.
